But the SHOEI X-SPR Pro is made precisely for these critical situations. With an uncompromising design, an aerodynamic shape for maximum stability and a ventilation system aimed straight into the airflow for maximum fresh air supply, this helmet gives you the decisive advantage on the race track.

Safety
The AIM+ outer shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus) of the SHOEI X-SPR Pro is made of 6-layers of different types of fibres: glass fibres, organic fibres and high-performance fibre materials. When combined with a polystyrene core system made up of several elements with different degrees of absorbency, this outer shell offers optimal impact protection at a very low overall helmet weight, which is homologated according to the new test standard ECE-R 22.06.
Its FIM homologation means that the SHOEI X-SPR Pro is all set for racing use.
The chin strap with double-D fastener is easily adjustable and keeps the helmet securely in place.
The EQRS system (Emergency Quick Release System) makes it easier to remove the cheek pads in an emergency, so that you can take off the helmet gently.

Wearing comfort
With 4 different outer shell sizes (XS-S | M | L | XL-XXL), the SHOEI X-SPR Pro offers the perfect ratio of helmet shell size and weight to head size for each head size. Its modular head padding with integrated pockets can be adjusted easily and precisely to individual head shapes and needs thanks to the insertable pads, for the ultimate perfect fit, maximum stability and reliable protection.
The newly designed cheek pads feature a padding core manufactured in a complex 3D-cut process, which enables them to contribute significantly to the stable fit of the X-SPR PRO, even at speeds of more than 350km/h, thanks to their more than doubled support area. This makes the lifting force 3% lower compared to the previous model.
The cheek pads feature variable positioning, enabling adjustment of the angle of fit of the helmet on the head, thus expanding the vertical viewing angle with a dramatic and sporty forward-tilt.
The head padding, contoured for highly effective ventilation, the cheek pads and the chin strap padding with quick-drying and skin-friendly cover material are completely removable and washable.

ventilation
Maximum exposed ventilation inlets, optimally aligned for a strongly forward tilting and crouched seating position on the racing motorcycle, also emphasize the uncompromising approach of the X-SPR Pro to ventilation. A total of 7 fresh air inlets and 6 vents are connected via a deeply branched ventilation system, thus ensuring an even more intensive and performance-enhancing exchange of fresh and used air compared to the previous model. For greater comfort at mid-summer temperatures or during long-distance races, the performance of the cheek pad ventilation has been significantly improved by almost doubling the number of vents on the inside of the helmet.

Drinking system
The inner lining of the chin area of the X-SPR Pro is designed to enable installation of a drinking system. Regular fluid intake via the drinking system helps the rider to maintain concentration over a longer period of time, even under hot summer weather conditions or during long-distance races.
Using an adapter, various commercially available drinking systems can be connected to the feed tube from the SHOEI line of accessories.

Aerodynamics
The X-SPR Pro is designed uncompromisingly for use in racing. Its shape and aerodynamic properties allow the rider to focus fully on the track and the race, even at the highest speeds.
The outer shell has been completely redesigned for more aerodynamic performance. After many hours in the wind tunnel, more than 150 improvements over the previous model's outer shell shape could be incorporated into the design of the X-SPR Pro thanks to SHOEI's superior helmet shell moulding technology.
The newly developed stabilizer at the back of the head channels the airstream into the tunnels on the left and right and guides it through the stabilizer and the rear spoiler. This results in a more aerodynamically balanced helmet shell shape (patent pending).
The pronounced side edges at the top left and right of the helmet function as fins and, in combination with the concave top of the stabilizer at the rear and the side fins, contribute to the helmet's high directional stability.
This distinctive area stands out in the design of the helmet and lends the helmet a balanced combination of style and safety. The combined efforts of the production, testing and development teams at SHOEI come together at this point.

Visor
The new CWR-F2R visor, featuring an increase of 5mm in its vertical field of vision, offers a competitive advantage in vision at an extremely forward-leaning seating position on the racing motorcycle. At inclined positions where even the elbow touches the asphalt, this increased field of vision contributes to the rider's safety.
You can attach tear-offs for track use to the standard CWR-F2R clear visor.
A double locking mechanism prevents the visor from opening accidentally in the event of a fall. The release mechanism of the visor system can also be blocked with a lever.
An anti-fog PINLOCK®EVO lens is included with the helmet and can be attached to pins on the visor that are situated outside of the horizontal field of vision. This increase in usable field of vision offers additional active safety when racing and also on the road.

Scope of delivery
The SHOEI X-SPR Pro comes with a PINLOCK®EVO lens for use in the factory-fitted CWR-F2R visor and suitable replacement pins. Also included are: a breath guard, a chin curtain, an attachable chin spoiler to reduce draughts and turbulence, SHOEI logo stickers, an original SHOEI helmet bag to protect the helmet and silicone oil to care for the visor seal and mechanism.
